Top 10 most unique beaches in the world.....in my opinion

I've researched a little bit and found out about these unique beaches.......Enjoy!

The Palazzo Versace Dubai property development is now 80 per cent complete, according to the Emirates Sunland Group, the developer behind the £400 million project.
The revolutionary beach will sit next to the new Palazzo Versace hotel and will include a system of heat-absorbing pipes built under the sand and giant wind blowers, designed to keep tourists cool in the searing 40-50C heat.

South of Hana Bay, on the far side of Ka'uiki hill, you'll find one of Maui's hidden gems. The trail is dangerous and slippery along a cliff, so use caution when traversing the path. Once you get down, you'll find a red-cliff enclosed beach. The sand is as red as you'll find and the people will be as naked as can be. Just outside of the beach is a lava sea wall that keeps the inside water less turbulent. Some homeless have taken over this area at night and don't care to share it for those of you who'd like to camp there. Because of its relative isolation, there are no lifeguards or facilities.(link)

8. Jervis Bay- worlds whitest sand

Jervis Bay is one of the true gems of the NSW south east region and its value to Australia has been recognised by its National Park status. It's breathtaking beauty, rich cultural and natural significance have long been recognised and appreciated by locals and by domestic and overseas visitors.
Jervis Bay is reputed to have the clearest waters and whitest sands in not only this country but also in the world.

7. Green Sand Beach

Known as Green Sand Beach or even Pu'u o Mahana, Papakolea Beach, is well deserving of its name. The olive-like color of the sand comes from the presence of a greenish, semi-precious stone named, appropriately enough, olivine. The erosive force of the ocean washing into the base of Pu'u o Mahana cinder cone has extracted olivines out of the cinder. These are deposited on the sand, giving the sand a green tint.(link)

6. Hot Water Beach

Hot Water Beach has been rated one of the top ten beaches in the world, and it is easy to understand why.
Soft, white sand; cafes; art gallery and, of course, the famous hot pools you dig for yourself.
For a couple of hours either side of low tide simply dig your toes in the sand until you find a hot spot where the naturally heated mineral water is flowing. Dig yourself a pool and relax in the beautiful surrounds while the cool seawater tops up your pool and prevents it from getting too hot.
Any time of the year is great to visit Hot Water Beach. In the summer the spectacular Pohutukawa blossom is in full bloom. In winter the smells and sounds of the native bush and wildlife add to your experience.
When the tide is low the pools are accessible. Kayaking, guided bush walks, glow worm trail (at night), horse trekking and numerous other activities are also available in the area

5. Airport Beach

The beach is set out with three runways, marked by wooden poles at their ends. This allows the Twin Otters that serve the airport to almost always land into the wind. At high tide these runways are under the sea - flight times vary with the tide. Emergency flights occasionally operate at night from the airport, with vehicle lights used to illuminate the runway and reflective strips laid on to the beach.
The beach is also popular with visitors and cockle pickers, who are asked to observe the windsock to see if the airport is in operation.(link)

4. World's Most Crowded Beach- Huiquan Bay in Qingdao

Qingdao Huiquan Bay is regarded as Asia’s biggest sand beach. Its clean water, mild waves and soft sand make it the first choice for sunbathing. It is also the favourite place for winter swimmers.(link)

3. Inland beach- Gulpiyuri

The beach is declared Natural Monument, and it is reached by walking through green meadows. You have to go on this beach to discover that the sea has its own mysteries. The surprising Gulpiyuri beach and the landscape that frames it can be a good place to start discovering all the secrets hidden in rural tourism.(link)

2. Bowling Ball Beach

On the North Coast of California (about 4 hours north of San Francisco) there is a wonderful beach called Bowling Ball Beach. As its name indicates, the beach is covered with big smooth round "bowling balls" lying next to straight rocky "lanes". These features are particularly visible at low tide.(link)

1. Glass Beach

Glass Beach is a section of coastline in MacKerricher State Park in California. After World War II, it was used as a public dump for two decades until local officials halted the practice. Since that time, the waves have worn smooth the glass shards disposed on the shore. However sad is the original cause, the result is quite pretty.(link)
