Best surf beaches....

Here are some of the best surf beaches in the world.....

1) Gold coast, Australia
It’s the 70km of beaches and four epic point breaks (The Spit, Main Beach, Narrowneck, Palm Beach and Mermaid beach) that made people call it, the surfers’ paradise. Other great places to check out are Snapper Rocks Superbank, Burleigh Heads, Kirra and South Stradbroke Island.

2) Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands

Known as one of the ultimate surf spots in the Atlantic Ocean, the coastline of Fuerteventura offers impressive waves and is considered a surfer’s Mecca. Fuerteventura has many areas that have not yet been surfed, powerful waves and is free of crowds.

3) North Shore, Oahu, Hawaii

The best place to surf in the entire United States is also one of the top places to go surfing in the world. The North Shore of Oahu has been a famous surfing destination for decades and routinely ranks at or near the top of even the most seasoned professionals list of great surfing spots. Though there are high quality waves in a number of places in the area, it is the North Shore’s Sunset Beach that is the most respected and most sought after destination for world class surfers.

4) Lima, Peru

The nation of Peru has over 1,500 miles of coastline which has helped it become one of the most popular surfing destinations in the world. The beaches and the surf surrounding Lima, the nation’s capital, offer some of the best waves in all of South America. One of the bonuses of traveling to Lima, Peru for a surf adventure is that the waves are very comparable to those found in Hawaii, but the crowds and competition for those waves is significantly less. Surfers who know their stuff swear by surfing the coast of Peru though and that is why it remain one of the best surfing areas in the entire world.

5) Malibu, California

It is entirely fitting that one of the best surfing locations in the world is located in Malibu where the surfing craze really took off and got most of its early publicity. From the 1960s surfing movies to the music of several California bands, so much of what the sport of surfing has become is owed to those early days in Southern California. Surfrider Beach in Malibu is where the serious surfer should head to if they want to experience some of the most extreme waves in the world. Malibu is blessed with surfable waves all year long, though the best time to enjoy them seems to be in the summer. The beach area and the water can be crowded at times, but when that perfect wave that can be ridden seemingly forever comes along, it is totally worth it.
